Double-crossed…

There is a strong sense of solemnity and dignity in this photo for me. It stems from how firm the memorial cross stands; a noble remembrance of the British men who died for their country in World War One. This cross endures in Ypres, Belgium in the same cemetery that Spin me a web… was taken in. What makes this photo so special though, is the cross of sunlight peeping through the trees and the way it overlaps (or crosses, if you like) with the shadowy stone.
