Colours of childhood…

This is a snapshot of the little toys you receive in the impossibly hard-to-open oval case inside your chocolate Kinder Egg, and a little Winnie-the-Pooh figure. For me, this photo is nostalgic and wistful – the blurred paper ring framing Winnie-the-Pooh seems to distance him from the viewer creating the feeling we’re looking back on our childhood days. Yet he is defined sharply with his bright yellow fur (albeit plastic) and his iconic red jumper, suggesting that he lives on in our older lives – a colourful and happy relic of which we don’t want to let go.
