I took this as the last areas of snow were melting and you could hear the slow ‘drip-drop’ of heavy water drops falling to the saturated ground. I thought that this waiting drop was beautifully framed between the two-pronged branch and I captured it in black and white to try to heighten the contrast between the white snow and the dark branches. Looking at the photo now, I’m amazed at the detail within the water drop and I wonder if it wasn’t a little frozen in time.
