A frozen splash…

These water drops are a minute part of some of the daily occurrences in my life. They come from the tap where I wash my hands, where I rinse my toothbrush, and where I fill a glass to drink. They represent a certain vitality and form a concrete reality which I have tried to capture in this frame. This shot was an experiment for me. I wanted to see if I was able to freeze a flowing entity and, in doing so, expose water in one of its most ‘real’ forms.

“In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.” Alfred Stieglitz
